وقعت المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس اتفاقية مع شركة تركية لإقامة مشروع صناعي جديد متخصص في إنتاج الكرتون وعبوات التعبئة والتغليف، بإجمالي استثمارات تبلغ نحو 175 مليون دولار. ومن المقرر أن يُقام المصنع داخل المنطقة الصناعية بالقنطرة غرب، إحدى المناطق التابعة للهيئة، على مساحة تقدر بنحو 70 ألف متر مربع.

يمثل مشروع لإنتاج الكرتون وعبوات التعبئة والتغليف إضافة نوعية لمنظومة الصناعات داخل المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، حيث يدعم سلاسل التوريد الخاصة بالصناعات الغذائية، ويساهم في تحقيق التكامل المحلي لمراحل الإنتاج، ما يحد من الاعتماد على الواردات ويعزز القيمة المضافة للمنتج المصري، وفقاً لتصريحات رئيس الهيئة العامة للمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس.
أوضح رئيس الهيئة العامة للمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، أن اختيار منطقة القنطرة غرب الصناعية لإقامة المشروع يعكس نجاح الهيئة في استقطاب استثمارات صناعية متطورة تلبي احتياجات السوق المحلية وتستهدف التصدير، إلى جانب دورها في خلق فرص عمل مباشرة ودعم التنمية الصناعية المستدامة.
أشار رئيس الهيئة إلى أن توقيع هذا المشروع يرفع عدد المشروعات المتعاقد عليها داخل منطقة القنطرة غرب الصناعية إلى 52 مشروعا، بإجمالي مساحات تصل إلى نحو 3.5 مليون متر مربع، واستثمارات تتجاوز 1.5 مليار دولار، بما يسهم في توفير ما يقرب من 72.6 ألف فرصة عمل مباشرة.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الشركة التركية، تمتلك حالياً ثلاث مشروعات صناعية قائمة داخل منطقة القنطرة غرب الصناعية. ومع إضافة مشروع تصنيع الكرتون وعبوات التعبئة والتغليف الجديد، يصبح هذا المشروع هو الرابع للمجموعة داخل المنطقة، ما يعزز مكانتها كأكبر مستثمر صناعي في منطقة القنطرة غرب الصناعية.

The Suez Canal Economic Zone has signed an agreement with a Turkish company to establish a new industrial project specialized in the production of carton and packaging materials, with total investments estimated at approximately $175 million.
The factory is scheduled to be built in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, one of the areas affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone, covering an area of about 70,000 square meters.
The carton factory project aims to achieve significant production capacities that meet the needs of both local and international markets. The project plans to produce approximately 10 million sterilized carton packages with a capacity of 1 liter, in addition to manufacturing around 75,000 carton box units per day, with a total annual output reaching 400,000 tons of carton boards.
The project also contributes to supporting the labor market by creating nearly 2,000 direct job opportunities. It is planned to allocate 50% of the production for export, enhancing the company’s presence in foreign markets, while the remaining 50% will be directed to meet local market demand.
The carton and packaging production project represents a strategic addition to the industrial ecosystem within the Suez Canal Economic Zone. It supports supply chains for the food industries and contributes to achieving local integration of production stages, which helps reduce reliance on imports and increases the added value of Egyptian products, according to statements by the Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The Chairman of the Authority explained that choosing the Qantara West Industrial Zone to host this project reflects the Economic Zone’s success in attracting advanced industrial investments that serve both the local market and export purposes, in addition to creating direct job opportunities and supporting sustainable industrial development.
He pointed out that signing this project increases the total number of contracted projects in the Qantara West Industrial Zone to 52 projects, covering a total area of approximately 3.5 million square meters, with total investments exceeding $1.5 billion, contributing to the creation of about 72,600 direct job opportunities.
It is worth noting that the Turkish company currently owns three existing industrial projects in the Qantara West Industrial Zone. With the addition of the new carton and packaging factory, this project becomes the fourth investment for the group in the area, reinforcing its position as the largest industrial investor in Qantara West Industrial Zone.
