أبرمت المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس عقداً لإنشاء مشروع جديد تابع لشركة صناعات غذائية، بإجمالي استثمارات تبلغ نحو 8 ملايين دولار. ويُقام المشروع على مساحة تُقدر بحوالي 10 آلاف متر مربع داخل منطقة السخنة الصناعية، وذلك ضمن نطاق المطور الصناعي شركة التنمية الرئيسية (MDC).
ومن المتوقع أن يسهم المشروع في توفير نحو 450 فرصة عمل مباشرة، بما يدعم جهود المنطقة الاقتصادية في جذب الاستثمارات الصناعية وتعزيز فرص التشغيل.
من المتوقع أن يبدأ إنتاج المشروع مطلع عام 2027، بطاقة إنتاجية سنوية تصل إلى 18 ألف طن من البطاطس المجمدة والخضروات، إلى جانب إنتاج نحو 73 مليون وجبة جاهزة سنويًا، تستهدف تلبية احتياجات قطاعات متعددة داخل السوق، فضلًا عن التصدير للأسواق الإقليمية، وذلك في إطار توجه المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس لتعزيز الصناعات الغذائية ذات القيمة المضافة والقدرات التصديرية.
ويأتي المشروع ضمن تفعيل مبادرة توسيع نشاط الشركات الصناعية ذات القدرات التصديرية بالمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، بالتنسيق مع هيئة الرقابة الإدارية، بما يعكس توجه الدولة نحو دعم الصادرات وتعميق التصنيع المحلي.
أشار رئيس المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، إلى أن استراتيجية المنطقة الاقتصادية تستهدف إنشاء تجمعات صناعية متكاملة تراعي الأبعاد الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية، موضحًا أن الجاهزية العالية للبنية التحتية والمرافق المطابقة للمعايير العالمية، إلى جانب التكامل بين المناطق الصناعية والموانئ البحرية، أسهمت في ترسيخ مكانة اقتصادية قناة السويس كوجهة استثمارية مفضلة على المستوى العالمي.
وأكد أن المنطقة تركز على:

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has concluded a contract to establish a new food industries project with total investments of approximately USD 8 million. The project will be developed on an area of around 10,000 square meters within the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone, under the scope of the industrial developer Main Development Company (MDC).
The project is expected to create approximately 450 direct job opportunities, supporting the Economic Zone’s efforts to attract industrial investments and enhance employment opportunities.
Production is scheduled to commence in early 2027, with an annual production capacity of 18,000 tons of frozen potatoes and vegetables, in addition to producing approximately 73 million ready-made meals annually. The project aims to serve multiple market sectors while also exporting to regional markets, in line with the SCZONE’s strategy to promote value-added food industries with strong export capabilities.

The project comes as part of the activation of the initiative to expand the activities of industrial companies with export capabilities within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, in coordination with the Administrative Control Authority, reflecting the state’s direction toward supporting exports and deepening local manufacturing.
The Suez Canal Economic Zone aims to:
Localize 21 sectors, including industrial, service, and logistics activities
Enhance integration between industrial activities and supply chains
Support sustainable economic development, according to statements by the Chairman of the SCZONE
The Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone stated that the Zone’s strategy focuses on establishing integrated industrial clusters that take into account economic, social, and environmental dimensions. He explained that the high level of readiness of infrastructure and facilities that meet international standards, along with the integration between industrial zones and seaports, has paved the way for the Suez Canal Economic Zone to become a preferred global investment destination.
He also emphasized that the Zone prioritizes:
Localizing and deepening manufacturing in targeted sectors
Transferring advanced manufacturing technologies
This contributes to boosting Egyptian exports, substituting imports to reduce the import bill, and supporting the state’s comprehensive economic development.
