تعتزم شركة صينية ضخ استثمارات تقدر بنحو 10 مليارات دولار داخل السوق المصري، من خلال إنشاء مجمع صناعي متكامل متخصص في إنتاج ألواح السيارات والصلب الصناعي عالي التخصص، بطاقة إنتاجية سنوية تصل إلى نحو 10 ملايين طن.
وفي هذا الإطار، عقد وزير الصناعة، اجتماعاً مع وفد من ممثلي الشركة الصينية، لبحث تفاصيل وخطط تنفيذ المشروع المقترح، ومناقشة آليات إنشاء المجمع الصناعي، وذلك بحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الصناعة.
لم يحدد البيان الرسمي الإطار الزمني المتوقع لتنفيذ المشروع، فيما أوضح أن المجمع الصناعي المزمع إنشاؤه سيقام على مساحة تقدر بنحو 10 ملايين متر مربع. ويضم المشروع خطوط درفلة على الساخن مخصصة لإنتاج مجموعة متنوعة من منتجات الصلب تشمل:

أكد وزير الصناعة، أن مشروع الشركة الصينية يتماشى مع استراتيجية وزارة الصناعة الهادفة إلى توطين صناعة مكونات السيارات اعتماداً على خام الحديد المحلي، بما يسهم في:
وخلال اجتماعه مع مسؤولي الشركة، شدد الوزير على أهمية الالتزام باستخدام الخامات المحلية، لا سيما في ظل ما أظهرته الدراسات الجيولوجية الحديثة من توافر احتياطيات واعدة من خام الحديد في مناطق الواحات وشرق العوينات ووادي العلاقى بمحافظة أسوان.
كما استعرض الوزير، خلال اللقاء، الجدول الزمني المقترح لتنفيذ المشروع، إلى جانب الاطلاع على المشروعات القائمة التي تنفذها الشركة حالياً داخل المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، خاصة تلك المرتبطة بصناعة مكونات السيارات والأجهزة المنزلية.

A Chinese company intends to inject investments estimated at around $10 billion into the Egyptian market through the establishment of an integrated industrial complex specialized in the production of automotive steel sheets and high-value industrial steel, with an annual production capacity of approximately 10 million tons.
In this context, the Minister of Industry held a meeting with a delegation representing the Chinese company to discuss the details and implementation plans of the proposed project, as well as the mechanisms for establishing the industrial complex, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry.
The official statement did not specify the expected timeframe for implementing the project. However, it noted that the planned industrial complex will be established on an area estimated at 10 million square meters.
The project will include hot rolling lines dedicated to producing a wide range of steel products, including:
Conventional carbon steel
High-strength low-alloy steel
Automotive steel
Pipe steel
Container plates
Engineering equipment steel
This reflects the diversity of the production base targeted by the complex.
The diversity of production lines within the Shin Feng Steel industrial complex planned in Egypt highlights the company’s orientation toward meeting the needs of multiple industrial and infrastructure sectors through specialized, high-quality steel products. Production lines for medium plates with widths of up to 3,500 mm
Manufacturing plates for shipbuilding and marine industries

The project includes the establishment of advanced cold rolling and heat treatment units, in addition to the production of galvanized sheets and cold-rolled materials, as well as steel sheets for the automotive and home appliance industries.
The complex will also include deep processing lines and the manufacturing of solar power plant structures, contributing to the creation of an integrated industrial ecosystem that supports the automotive, energy, infrastructure, and precision engineering industries.
The new project in Egypt is expected to generate significant economic and industrial impact through:
Creating approximately 15,000 direct job opportunities
Providing more than 85,000 indirect job opportunities
In addition, the project will contribute to the transfer of advanced technology, the development of Egyptian workforce skills, and the deepening of industrial value chains within the local market.
The Minister of Industry confirmed that the Chinese company’s project aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to localize the automotive components industry based on locally available iron ore, contributing to:
Reducing the import bill
Establishing a strong industrial base capable of meeting local market needs and expanding into export markets
During his meeting with company officials, the Minister emphasized the importance of relying on local raw materials, particularly in light of recent geological studies revealing promising iron ore reserves in the New Valley, East Oweinat, and Wadi El-Allaqi in Aswan.
The Minister also reviewed the proposed implementation timeline for the project, in addition to examining the ongoing projects currently being implemented by the company within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, especially those related to automotive components and home appliances industries.
