Economic Calendar: Top 5 things to watch this week

This week, the market will hear what Fed officials will say, from which they try to figure out the course of the future monetary easing policy, and whether or not it will continue. ECB President Christine Lagarde also graduated for the first time this year on Monday, and the Bank of England releases its renamed policy report on Thursday. Trade developments and profits remain in the spotlight.

European Central Bank and its new leadership

Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank (ECB), graduated for the first time to present her vision for the euro zone economy in a speech he received in Berlin this Monday. Lagarde took over the presidency of the European Central Bank on November 1, and in its first steps we heard the echoes of Draghi’s policy.

Lagarde will receive an update on the health of the euro-zone economy on Wednesday and Thursday, when German data on factory orders and industrial production are released amid concerns about the euro zone’s largest economy sliding into recession.
