The well-known two-minute rule is always beneficial to everyone – if all that needs to be done can be done in two minutes, then do it now.
Whether you wash a few dishes, take out the garbage, or put on the washer … if you do it now, your brain will give you some good chemicals and that might push you to do more things.
If not, at least some things get done. Do one thing at a time and don’t worry about completing other things.
Often times, the hardest thing is getting started. Try to push yourself to start things up, even when you want to turn into a ball.
When you do, you may finish what you’re doing, and it can be easier than it seems at first. If it doesn’t work, that’s okay, there’s always another time
When it comes to bigger tasks, such as daily jobs, this can get extremely challenging, and it can be a tremendous and exhausting effort for the soul to spend a day at work.
If there are things on the list that you know you need to do, it is sometimes best not to overthink, not to over-analyze how and when to do things, but whenever possible, just start the task.
Often times, I think you’ll succeed in completing it.
The more able you are to do what needs to be done, the more you will feel that you are part of your wider environment as it can take a lot of effort and energy.
So, don’t forget to research the things you love to do even if starting them might feel just as difficult.
Try to move as much as possible, as long walks with music or audiobooks can be surprisingly beneficial.
