Important tips to make you more productive at work, welcome! Over the years of guiding people, one of the questions I often ask has been “How can I achieve more results in less time” or in other words “How can I increase my productivity?” Improving one’s productivity is a long-term process where the next steps become an integral part of Your life so you can have important tips that make you more productive at work
Important tips to make you more productive at work
1) Avoid procrastination and eliminate distractions
It all starts when you have a doubt about whether or not to start a job at hand. Then suddenly you get distracted to embrace short-term pleasures like social media/internet, email notifications, TV, etc., delaying work indefinitely.
Instead, when you’re working, turn off your cell phones, ask your colleagues not to bother you for a certain amount of time, go offline and make it a habit to check your email once or twice a day.
2) Complete the scariest missions first thing in the morning
This ensures that you are at your best to do the most difficult task. Plus, it sets your pace and boosts your attention span for the rest of the day. Also when you are done with the hard part, you have mental satisfaction that the rest of the day will be a smooth journey and therefore better productivity.
3) Break the project down into smaller concrete tasks and prioritize
Remember that not everything is urgent all the time. Divide the tasks into the following criteria:
People who spend most of their time in the quarter usually have stressful lives. What they need to do is important and urgent. They have to respond to tight deadlines, they have to solve crises, and constantly put out fires.
People who spend most of their time in the third trimester usually have a short-term focus. They feel out of control.
The fourth quadrant is all about time-wasters or activities that don’t provide any value. Anything that is done offensively can fall into this category as well (TV, video games, surfing the internet…).
The second quadrant is the quarter where you want to spend more time. It is a quarter of planning, preparing, balancing, and proactivity
. It can help you reduce the time you spend on urgent overtime work.
One of the tools based on the above principle is WEEK PLAN. I highly recommend this tool for people with time management issues and low productivity.
4) Take breaks and exercise regularly
Most people live under the misconception that working continuously for long hours improves the results they generate. This is a myth and it should be regulated. Taking regular breaks can help reset your state of mind and get you back on track with optimal efficiency, alertness, and alertness. So when you start feeling stressed at work, go for a walk, take a strong nap, interact with your colleagues, meditate or grab a snack. Make sure you’re staying healthy, too.
My personal advice: Avoid interacting on social media, as it doesn’t really refresh you.
5) Combine similar tasks like blog writing, phone calls, email, and errands in one go. You will save time by completing similar tasks in one sitting.
