LONDON, Oct. 14 (UPI) – British Economy Minister Sajid Javed said on Monday that he would present the state budget on November 6, the first after the UK’s Brexit scheduled for 31st. From October.
“On November 6, I will present Britain’s first public budget after Brexit, and I will present our plan to shape the economy and revolutionize infrastructure,” Javed said in a tweet posted on social media.
In the meantime, intensive negotiations are under way between London and Brussels to reach an agreement on Brexit ahead of the European summit scheduled for this weekend, which should ratify an agreement.
The two sides are continuing talks after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Irish counterpart Leo Faradkar met on Thursday in England and expressed optimism that a deal could be reached.
Faradkar announced that sufficient progress had been made to believe that a new agreement could be concluded, but noted that some outstanding issues remained. Effie
