The Bank of France announced today, Wednesday, its forecasts for the economy over the first quarter of 2020, and sees a potential contraction of about 6% during that period due to the spread of the Corona virus globally and the measures taken to address the spread of the epidemic that will negatively affect global economies and growth during the first quarter of Year.
The Bank of France indicated that the economic activity during March has decreased by more than 32%, and therefore it is likely, according to the bank’s view, that GDP growth will decline on an annual basis by about 1.5%. Coinciding with the continued curfew in France that started on March 17.
