The Australian ASX 200 and the Chinese CSI 300 index settled at the end of trading, while the Hang Seng and the Shanghai index fell by 0.54% and 0.08%, respectively. The Korean Kospi was the lowest among the major currencies at the close of trading, recording 0.68%.
